Our Soccer Story

Our Mission: Touchline Tekkers is dedicated to providing top-tier training sessions for young soccer enthusiasts aged 8 to 18. Our academy focuses on honing technical skills, fostering teamwork, and instilling a love for the game. We aim to create a supportive environment where players can thrive and grow on and off the field.


Our philosophy revolves around instilling discipline, passion, and sportsmanship in every player. We believe in creating a pathway for aspiring athletes to chase their soccer dreams while emphasizing the importance of hard work, dedication, and respect for the game. Meet the Team

Co-Founder & Technical Director
Waleed Cherif

Waleed Cherif is a passionate soccer coach and accomplished player with deep roots in player development and mentorship. A Texas native, Waleed helped lead Coppell High School to a 6A state championship and played for elite youth academies like Solar and Andromeda. His collegiate career included NCAA Division II all-conference honors at West Liberty University before transferring to compete at the Division I level with Duquesne University. Professionally, Waleed has played for clubs across the globe, including Michigan Stars FC, Gold Star FC, RC Arbaâ in Algeria’s top division, and FC Tevragh Zeina in Mauritania’s first division. Off the field, he’s equally committed to developing the next generation of talent. He has coached players from U5 to U18 at Rochester Soccer Club and has personally trained athletes who went on to sign with professional clubs. He also currently coaches the Greenhill Middle School Boys’ soccer team. Now, as cofounder of Touchline Tekkers, Waleed brings his passion, international experience, and dedication to building game changers—not just players. His mission is simple: to inspire, train, and empower youth through the beautiful game.

Jay Lee

Coach Jay began his soccer journey with Lonestar FC in Austin, TX, before making a move to Italy to join the Empoli FC Academy, one of the top development programs in Italian football. From there, he launched his playing career across Europe, competing in Italy, Austria, and Spain, where he spent three years playing in the third division. After gaining valuable experience overseas, Coach Jay returned to the United States and signed his first professional contract with a NISA club, marking a new chapter in his career. His deep understanding of the game stems from the tactical discipline of Italian football, the structured approach of German soccer, and the creative flair of the Spanish style. Bringing this diverse footballing background into his coaching, Coach Jay has worked with players of all levels—from youth development to UPSL men’s teams. His unique training sessions incorporate the best aspects of European football, emphasizing tactical intelligence, technical mastery, and game awareness.

Rebecca Fracassa

Rebecca Fracassa brings a compassionate and player-focused approach to her role as Director of Player Relations & Family Support. With a strong background in sports management and a deep commitment to athlete wellbeing, Rebecca serves as the primary liaison between players, families, and club staff—ensuring open communication, smooth transitions, and holistic support both on and off the pitch.
